My Goal for You:

A Home that Feels like a Haven

Rebecca Waddle, professional home organizer serving Harpswell and mid-coast Maine, standing in front of an organized home bookshelf.

If your space has been waiting too long, I’d love to help.

Raised in southwestern Maine, I spent my twenties moving with the seasons, working as a Kennebec River whitewater guide and Sugarloaf ski instructor, doing work that was always really about one thing: helping people discover what they’re capable of.

I came to Harpswell in 2005, following love and a life firmly shaped by Maine — its mountains, its rivers, its coast. I married into a family that has been woven into the fabric of this town for generations. The Waddles fished these waters, tended this community, and helped create the trails that still wind through Harpswell’s woods today. I’ve spent the last twenty years trying to be worthy of that rootedness — raising our son, running a household, working in education, and quietly becoming someone who brings order, calm, and intention to the spaces people live in.

Room by Room grew out of something I’ve always done naturally — seeing a space not just as it is, but as it could feel to walk into every day. I started this business because I believe everyone deserves a home that feels like a haven, and because I’ve learned that getting there doesn’t have to be overwhelming, complicated, or embarrassing.

My years in classrooms, on rivers, and on mountainsides taught me that the best work happens when people feel safe. It starts with human connection, and it's exactly the environment I bring to every home.

I don’t rush. I don’t judge. I just help you figure out what stays, what goes, what gets donated — and what deserves to be passed on to someone who'll treasure it — and where everything belongs — one room at a time.
